I don't think the February record was broken although the site weatherzone.com.au shows that a 66 year old record has been broken for the most rain in February.  I personally have been relatively unaffected, my car boot is leaking a small amount and now my car smells like wet dog, I went to get bread and milk one day and the shelves had been stripped but that’s about it.  Oh, and I hit a big pothole and my hubcap fell off but I found it the next day near the pothole without a mark on it.  It would have to get pretty trivial if I was to go any further than that.

The news for everyone else has been pretty bleak.  I haven’t spoken to anyone who has a sad story but I’m seeing lots on TV.

Generally when Jason shows up at the river it is for his daughters benefit because she enjoys tube riding behind Glen’s ski boat.  Until today, Springy had refused any offer to participate on the grounds that he may injure himself.  I’m not the only person who scoffed at that excuse because; let’s face it; statistically how many people actually get seriously injured while skiing?  Unless of course they were being foolish or skiing close to the bank or other boats the likelihood is really very low.
